The process of mathematical learning i s the new knowledge reciprocity old mathematical cognitive structure(mcs), engender new mcs. The old mcs is the basement of mathematical learning, is the key of learning. From the view of teachers' teaching, teacher must start teaching from students msc; from the view of students learning, student must construct good mcs.Frist, this paper summarized the study about mcs, and appraised it. Then, we reunderstand mcs from the view of mathematical knowledge structure and the view of cognition. Third, this paper discussed the character of good mcs (difference, integer, development, arrangement, crackajack)and function (store, motive, choice, weigh learning, create new knowledge, transfer, translate, fixing). Forth, we discussed the factor of influence construct good mcs; through the questionnaire and survey , from the extent, springboard, cognitive structure scheme sides discussed the difference of students' mcs. Through experiment data , we arrived the correlation between students ' mcs and mathematical success .On this study, we advanced some ways of understanding students' mcs, optimizing and developing good mcs, for example, handle with the relation between teaching book and class teaching, grasp the knowledge meshwork, perfect mcs through investigate learning, reform the teaching book, exert emotion teaching, and so on.
