Based on the importance of scientific literacy to the development of individual and nation, senior chemistry education focus its aim on promoting the students' scientist literacy, this requires us to reorganize the contents of teaching and change the method of teaching, while bringing in the chemistry history knowledge and strengthening the chemistry history education is one of the most efficient ways of carrying out scientific literacy education.Strengthening the education of chemistry history plays an irreplaceable part in raising the students' scientific literacy and improving the all-aspects development, such as inspiring the interest of the students, strengthening the scientific course and the education of scientific way, fostering the students scientific idea, spirit and sense of beauty, and the warning effects of anti-examples. Combined the result of he investigation, we analyze the present state of chemistry history from the point of students, teachers. We also analyze the developing trend of the emphasizing of chemistry history education gradually from the aspects of course standard, textbooks and test questions. At the same time, in teaching research, based on constructivism and multi-intelligence theory and other modern educational theories, we did some useful exploration and completely summarize the way and method of chemistry education. The practice shows that strengthening the chemistry history education to chemistry teaching in middle schools can greatly promote the scientific literacy of the students.
