With the coming of the knowledge economy era, the extension of the globalization and the establishment of the concept of life-long learning, constructing learning community becomes a common sense in the world. Construction of learning community in China began in 1990s. At present, all need the quest in the aspects of theories and practicing regardless with perfect.The text which bases on the construction of learning community in District Xuanwu, manages the research method of the sociology, in well recounting learning community theoretical foundation, makes a contrast study between construction of learning community at home and abroad, and then puts forward learning community development path choice. The text is divided into four parts totally: Chapter 1, introduces learning community theories, and puts forward the significance of localization and idea of the construction of learning community. Chapter 2, makes a contrast study between construction of learning community at home and abroad. Chapter 3, analyzes the idea and model of learning community in District Xuanwu, and chooses typical individual case to proceed the research. Chapter 4, from the viewpoints of media innovation, mechanism innovation, method innovation and idea innovation, carries out further theoretical reflection of constructing learning community so as to reveal the theoretical function to direct the progress of Chinese community.The construction of learning community in our country is on its beginning. The task is heavy and there is still a road ahead. A more competitive,more vigorous and sustained developing society will be formed which will be more adaptable to knowledge economy through the construction of learning community.
