Research On Community Development In Construction Of Harmonious Socialist Society

Achieving social harmony and constructing a happy community is a socialist ideal human and Chinese Communist are pursuing nowadays. Building a socialist harmonious society is an indispensable part of the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics, and it is an important task to build a well-off society in an all-round way as well. The construction of socialism harmonious society is a great social program; the community is an important platform to realize the democracy and autonomy at the grassroots level and to better the Social Management, since the community is the fundamental part of society. The grass-roots level isthe key to advance the construction of harmonious society– that is to say, the construction of community is an essential point and a basic work to build a socialist harmonious society.This paper takes urban community as research subject, and is based on the discussion and analysis about the connotation of the construction of community, in order to arrange the difference and connection between community and society. Moreover, this paper will analyze the connection between socialism harmonious society and the construction of community, and explain why the construction of community is the interior demand and basic task of the construction of socialism harmonious society. Besides, from the perspective of strengthen and innovation of social management, this paper will deeply analyze and explain the importance of the construction of community with a harmonious society background. This paper analyzes some drawbacks during the process of community construction, by means of the introduction about the process of the development of community construction in China, which is based on the achievement we already acquired. Those drawbacks include: the lack of the awareness of community among citizens; few community participation; the poor community management system; the ineffectiveness of self-governing organization; the inadequate community service system; a low level of specialization in community work; the weakness in the talents construction; the unsound legislation; the inadequate protection in community construction; insufficient in utilizing the community resources. In order to solve those problems, this paper summarizes the experience and inspiration about the innovation in the community construction in different areas during the new period, combined with the analysis of the problems in the community construction. Then, this paper puts forward several constructive ideas and suggestions from the respects of the cultivation of the citizens'awareness of participation; the advancement in self-governing organization; the construction of the tied mechanism and the general community service system; the establishment of professional and special talents teams and sound relevant legislations; the construction of characteristic community projects; etc.During the critical period of social transformation and economic development, as a fundamental element of society, the community has become a gathering place of different types of community groups, rather than a simple place of residence; as a consequence, a variety of new situations and problems are emerging and interacting in the community. As a platform of the democracy and autonomy and Social Management at the grassroots level, the community is an important way to advance the management standards and societal construction and to strengthen the ability of government management. Therefore, in order to realize the social harmony, it is essential to give priority to the community construction. In other words, it is unrealistic to build a stable and harmonious society without the communities. Nowadays, the community construction, which is in the context of establishing a harmonious socialist society and is themed by harmony, will constantly boost the development of community and harmonious society by starting considering human being first, according to the national conditions. Thus, this paper strives to offer some valuable references among the construction of a harmonious socialist society and development of urban communities, which are based on the analysis and study of community construction.
