In the field of world education research, the research of education evaluation, together with the research of education theory and the research of education development, is now regarded as three major fields of research. Higher education evaluation, as a branch of education evaluation research, became popular in China in the 1980s. With the popularization of higher learning, quality and efficiency have become the focus of attention and students' evaluation of teachers, as a way to change the function of the university, represent the students' status, realize the self-monitoring of education quality and self coordination, has attracted more and more attention from the university administration and society. However, the research on this aspect is still on the initial stage both theoretically and practically. The author of this article has done some research on the students' evaluation of teachers on the basis of personal working experience and theories acquired at the graduate school. This article discusses its definition, the types of error and the way to control error; at the same time, relevant theories are applied to practice so as to conclude an approach to analyze the statistics. The main arguments are as follows:1.The quality of classroom education is a definition related to the value system and it is only relative instead of absolute. It includes three sub-definitions: exterior quality, interior quality and personal quality.2. The result of students' evaluation and the quality of teaching are two different definitions and the former can not be simply understood as the latter, even be applied to promotion, pay-raise and awards.3. Error is one of the characteristics of students' evaluation and it is inevitable. The core of the students' evaluation is to control error.4. Teaching is the key factor to influence students' evaluation. The background of the teacher has no obvious influence, but the sex, grades and the number of classes taught by the teacher have great influence. The formula to correct the evaluation results is presented for the first time.
