It's a fact that there is the intelligence diversity exist during the learning. The stratified teaching is a teaching strategy based on the different intelligence of students and the principle of "teach students in accordance of their intelligence", and the prominent effects of the stratified teaching have been validated. However, a lot of research work has not been used in the relative teaching. In this paper, a new teaching mode based on the stratified teaching and the class teaching is proposed and practiced for raising the quality of middle school physics teaching.1. The meaning of the teaching mode and stratified teaching is introduced. The present development of the teaching mode and stratified teaching is summarized, and some short points of them are also analyzed.2. Based on the reality of high middle school physics teaching and class teaching, anew teaching mode, the combination of the stratified teaching and "problem------research"class teaching mode, is proposed and discussed. Further, the procedure of experiment is constructed for the practice of new teaching mode.3. All students of senior Grade two of 2002 Class in Guiyang No. 2 school, 9 classes and 480 students, were selected as the object of experiment, and the experiment was carried from August 2003 to July 2004. The new teaching mode was carried out in Class 7 of the degree B and Class 5 of the degree C, Class 4 of the degree B and Class 9 of the degree C with of the traditional teaching method were selected as the reference.4. After the experiment, the results of the physics united test of Guizhou province were selected as the data of comparison. The result has been shown that the new teaching mode is an effective approach for raising the quality of middle school physics teaching.It has been proven that the new teaching mode can help the students in different intelligence on physics understanding to gain a different significant improvement, because this teaching method create a different studying environment for students with different intelligence on physics. The combination of physics stratification teaching with the class teaching of "problem-research" could enhance the efficiency of physics teaching.
