How to develop the students' ability to pose problems is a hot topic in recent research of mathematics education. Posing problems can facilitate students' understanding and solving problems, is beneficial to re-creativity in mathematics learning, can help students develop their consciousness of creativity and their ability of leaning.Adopting the methods of researching on the documents and statistics, surveying through questionnaire, and through communicating with students and teachers, the author familiarizes with the situations of our students' activities of posing problems in mathematics learning. After that, the article discusses some elements relative with the ability to pose problems and also discusses some ways of cultivating the ability from several aspects. After research, the author finds that:1. There is a remarkable difference between the ability of students from experimenting area and ordinary area. The former are better than the latter in the ability to pose mathematics problems, which is owned to the new curriculum emphasizing explorations, changing the role of teacher and making the evaluation more reasonable.2. There is a remarkable difference between the ability of students from different classes. Those with better achievement also have better ability than others in posing problems, which implies students' knowledge affects their problems posing. Those did better in the survey show their autonomy, curiosity and confidence in mathematics learning, which implies students' individual character also affects their problems posing.3. Exploration is an important way to cultivate the students' ability to pose problems. Building democratic classroom atmosphere and diffusing contents of posing problems in evaluation can also cultivate the ability.4. Teachers need to notice that methods and skills training should be based on "autonomy", otherwise it will turn out to be a mere formality.
