With the social development, some comprehensive society problems are emergent, and the society demands comprehensive talented person. So it becomes an important tendency to set up an integrated curriculum in the curriculum reform. In 2001, the outline of curriculum reform of fundamental education pointed out: "we should strengthen the integrated curriculum content, desalinate the boundary in all the subjects, and reinforce the relation between the curriculum content and real life, and also further the link in the knowledge and method of all the subjects."Many scholars have studied human and social integrated curriculum from different point hitherto, but there is seldom study point at how to contain geography in the teaching material of human and social integrated curriculum. The paper is one subtask of "Study On The Human and Social Integrated Curriculum Design and Teaching Modes" (NO.: DHB010638), which belongs to "Tenth Five Plan". The paper analyzed the teaching materials of human and social integrated curriculum domestic and overseas existent and the data of the questionnaire. The main goal of the paper is to solve the problem of how to contain geography in the teaching material of human and social integrated curriculum.First the paper discussed the theory basic of the teaching material of human and social integrated curriculum. Then analyzed geography in the teaching materials of human and social integrated curriculum domestic and overseas existent. In this condition, this dissertation studies the problem about the clue of the compilation of the teaching material, and thinks that the teaching material should be compiled with this clue that is the children how to know the society and the organization of the material should be from the near to the distant, from the perceptual knowledge to the rational knowledge. And the teaching material should completely develop the whole prospect of the social and the life that the children are facing now and will face in future. At the same time, discussing the function of geography in the teaching material of human and social integrated curriculum, the paper carried out the clue of how to contain geography in the teaching material of human and social integrated curriculum: reflecting the whole word; moderately integrate; according with children cognition; availing to the development of the children; dynamic. Then, after discussed the feasibility to integrate geography with history and politics, consulting the data of the questionnaire, the paper expatiate the approach of how to integrate geography with history and politics from six point: space distributing; background of come into being; significance and infection; function of element; rule and effect of the activity; thinking measure. In addition the paper enumerated some instance of intersection. In the end, the paper summed up some problem of the teaching materials of human and social integrated curriculum existent and discussed some settlement tactics.
