In China, the new course revolution began in September. 2004. However, the revolution of teaching concept and teaching material should be put in the first place in the education revolution. "Based on the students' development" is the concept put forward by the new course revolution. Under the leading of new teaching concept, the teaching outline, which was applied by dozens of years, was substituted by the course standard. This thesis firstly compare the course standard with teaching outline. Especially, compare the details of the Junior School Beijing new-edition geography teaching material ( the experiment teaching material after revolution) with the old teaching material under the teaching outline, to find the differences of the structure and content. The author finds out 185 points added by the new material, which can be divided into 9 kinds. 66 points deleted from the old material, which can be divided into 5 kinds. On this basis of the above text, the author makes the analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of the new teaching material. Meanwhile, the author attempts to put forward her own thoughts in the teaching geography adapted by the new teaching material.
