The impact of Video games on juvenile aggression is a key area for academic interest on aggression. Previous researches have provided ample proofs to link the access to video game with higher aggression. Some scholars described the relationship as a causal one. But improvements can be made in the methodology, variant selection and experiment control of recent studies. The following research aims at collecting basic information of Chinese young people's access to violent video games, analysing the possible causes of aggression, and testifying by carrying out experiments the relationship between Juvenile access to the violent video games and aggressionStudy 1:: Questionnaires are carried out among 473 students in three Shanghai middle schools. China has a high rate of juvenile access to video games. Boy's game experience is eimpler than girl's. Game experience also associated with parents' educational backgrounds and family income. Self-evaluation of violence participation is related to gender, game level and game experience.Study2 Video games are classified into three by violence levels: high, medium and non. The measure of testing before-after-design is adopted. Differentiations are made between experimental groups and control groups in terms of interval for judging pictures with violence, current mood and aggression. The findings are as follows:Experimental effects are evident with regard to the interval of reaction to violent pictures. The change of high-violence group react longer than non-violence group and the control group.Effects are less-evident in terms of current mood changes.Among junior students, indicators of groups in experimental and control group differ. The change of high-violence groups react time longer than non-violence groups and the control groupsAmong senior students, evident differences are shown between experimental groups and control group, which proves the existence of the experimental effects.
