While social networking sites meet the needs of people’s social interactions, the negative information such as violence, attacks, pornography and other negative information also seriously affect people’s habits and thinking. As one of the main users of social networks, online interaction with friends is also an indispensable part of the daily life of most undergraduates. But at the same time, because the individual in the university stage is in the late adolescence, the development of various psychological functions is not mature enough, the emotional fluctuation is large, lack of experience and ability to deal with negative information, vulnerable to attack, violence and other negative information, which may trigger the aggressive behavior of undergraduates, affecting their physical and mental health. However, there is still no corresponding empirical research. From the comprehensive theoretical model of problem behavior, the priming effect of online interaction of violent content on undergraduates’ aggression may also be affected by other factors in the environment and personality system. Therefore, this study will select online peer norm and self-control as representative factors in the environmental system and personality system to explore whether it will regulate the impact of online interaction of violence content on undergraduates’ aggression behavior. This study selected QQ,one of the most frequently used social applications among undergraduates as an online interactive platform, using experimental methods to simulate real online interactive scenes, and explored the online interaction of violent content on undergraduates’ explicit aggressive behavior and implicit aggressive behavior and its regulatory factors.Experiment 1 examined the priming effect of violent information on undergraduates’ explicit and the regulation of online peer norms and self-control.The second experiment examined the priming effect of online interaction of violent information on undergraduates implicit aggressive behavior and the regulation of online peer norms and self-control.The main results are as follows:(1)The online interaction of violent content could initiate the aggressive behavior of undergraduates. The level of explicit aggressive behavior and implicit aggressive behavior of undergraduates exposed to violent content during online interaction are significantly higher than those of non-violent content during online interaction.(2)Online peer norms significantly affect undergraduates’ aggressive behaviors.Under the conditions of positive online peers norms, the level of explicit aggressive behavior and implicit aggressive behavior of undergraduates were significantly lower than those of students under the condition of passive online peers norms.(3)Online peer norms could also regulate the priming effect of online interaction of violent content on undergraduates’ implicit aggressive behavior: Compared with undergraduates under the condition of negative online peers norms, positive online peer norms reduced the negative impact of violent content on implicit aggression behavior of undergraduates in online interaction. These findings suggest that under the new social development conditions, the importance of the network environment should not be neglected in order to promote and maintain the healthy development of undergraduates and cultivate good social adaptability. To rectify the network environment and establish an effective mechanism for screening and filtering bad information is of positive significance to the prevention and control of undergraduates’ aggressive behavior. At the same time,we should guide college students to use the Internet correctly and improve their discrimination ability, not only to improve their ability to distinguish bad information, but also to strengthen the ability to distinguish bad online peers, reduce the interaction with bad online peers,so that online peers can play a positive role.
