In the era of knowledge-dominated economy, the cultivation of the critical thinking for the students has become an important project. The critical thinking has become one of the goals of the school education of the countries in the world. Fundamental education is not only to teach the knowledge to the students, but also to develop the students' ability of the critical and creative thinking.In this thesis, considering the shortcomings of severe lack of the cultivation of the critical thinking in the current physics education, the theory of the critical thinking was introduced, its definitions was summarized, its features and connotation were generalized, the relationship of the critical thinking with the basal thinking and creative thinking was discussed, the connection between the critical thinking and constructionism was explored. Based on the investigation, some factors, which cause the deficiency of students' ability of the critical thinking was analyzed. The increase in the ability of the critical thinking for the students in the physical teaching in the high school, the increase in the spirit of criticism, .the route, principle and strategy in the cultivation of the critical thinking were explored and in the same time, the teaching practice was carried out for providing the good base on the developing the education of the critical thinking.
