Composition is manifestation of the integrating function of the storage of personal knowledge, thinking and emotion, aptitude, as well as language. And the composition level is the embodiment of one's whole integrating language abilities. Correspondingly, composition teaching plays a significant part in language teaching, which should be laid stress on. However, our senior Chinese composition teaching is a weak link in senior Chinese language teaching, for it has not get rid of the fetters of the traditional composition teaching. This thesis attempts to reflect the present senior composition teaching at the three angles of composition teaching and learning body, composition and life as well as some "pseudoscience" in composition teaching to analyze the problems in composition teaching, search for the roots of the problems, research into several sorts of new foreign teaching experience, deflower and use for reference. Then it sketchily discuss something on the five aspects of relationship between teaching and learning, living practice, training variety, teaching method as well as composition individuality in the hope of contributing to the senior composition teaching by searching out some effective adaptable strategies to master the rules of the senior composition teaching better, to promote the senior composition teaching reform, to improve the senior composition teaching quality, to breakthrough the choke point of the senior composition teaching.
