With the development of information technology and network technology, the educational field has changed enormously too. Technology makes distance-education have more development space. More and more people concentrate the research of the distance -education on the web-based education. Compared with traditional school education, web-based education have space-time unrestricted, anyone can learn the knowledge which he needs at any time and in any place , this makes the life-long education and life-long learning become a kind of possibility. As a kind of distance -education, Web-based education can offer the abundant resource and more meaningful learning environment to learner, this kind of learning environment can provide support and help in studying . But the potential possibility for web-based learning environment supporting effective study can not produce the good results of learning automatically. In order to improve the effect of web-based learning, it is very essential to create a good web-based learning environment for learner.This article is made up of four chapters.Chapter one indicates the background , current situation , purpose and significance of the research.Chapter two explores the study mode and characteristics based on task driving, explains learning environment,web-based learning environment in detail, defines the concept of network study environment based on task driving, and proposes the structure of its design element .Chapter three is the important content in the article, we studied the intentions and design strategies of each elements of network study environment based on task driving (task,study resources,study tools,study strategies,interaction strategies , study community and appraise ). and provided the corresponding cases to design strategies of some elements .Chapter four prospects for the trends of network study environment design from the development of information technology and the centre of learner, From the view point of technology, it will be possible for network study environment design becoming intelligently and virtually. From the viewpoint of learner, individualization and entertainment of network study environment design are a kind of development trend too.In a word, this article studies the design strategies of web-based learning environment based on task driving, its purpose is to offer valid study-support to learners who study in the network.
