The "easily understood" reading teaching method is put forward from both teachers and students. While the new curriculum is improving quickly in Jiangsu province, this article is aimed at making some new studies of the teaching method of reading by the review of language history and the analysis of the present reading teaching method. I have ten-year experience of language teaching, and I hope to summarize the valid experience of the past and take the current forerunner principle, thus finding a good way of language teaching which will treat language as both culture and tool.The article is divided into six parts :1, the "easily understood" reading teaching method and its content; 2, review of the high school language reading teaching and the analysis of present condition of the teaching; 3, the"easily understood" research method before a lesson; 4, "easily understood" reading method by the teacher; 5, help the students to form "easily understood" reading habit.The preface, chapter 1 and chapter 2 are aimed at reviewing a language reading teaching method from the historical angle and summarizing experience. Chapter 3 is bout the teacher' s method of studying the teaching material before a lesson. Chapter4 and chapter 5 are about the cooperation of the teacher and the students and how to operate the "Easily understood" teaching method. The postscript will combine the method with the new curriculum and explain it further.
