This article is finished at the time when the new version of Senior Chinese comes into effect. The typical feature if the new version of Senior Chinese is that it has increased writings in classical Chinese considerably. In the reading texts, the Classical poems and prose make up 40% of the texts. so the problem how to improve the students ability of reading writings in classical Chinese indeed in the teaching of writings in Classical Chinese, has become more important than any one else. There is a phenomenon at present that the teaching of the writings in classical Chinese mainly depends on explaining or illustrating in middle schools, it is beyond the purpose of the new version and Chinese teaching completely. In view of this situation, the author thinks, if we want to charge the poor condition, we must adopt the teaching method of reading and reciting instead of that of illustrating all the class. we should base our teaching on reading and reciting. The author discusses this topic from three respects as follows: First, the author especially sets forth in theory on the deep reason why the teaching of the writings in Classical Chinese must depend on reading and reciting. The teaching method of reading and reciting is just to ask students to read and recite the texts. First ask students to read the texts time and time again, and then require them to recite the texts without looking at the textbook. This method has far梤eaching significance in four aspects they are, stimulate the interest of the iii 憲~ M~STERSIHESIS students Narrow the gap; accumulate the vocabulary; understand grammar, cultivate language sense by reading, learn to use powerful and graceful language, carry on culture and let oneself own all these ability. It is thus clear that in the teaching of writings in Classical Chinese, if the teacher can control the class efficiently, make good use of it, really base his/her teaching on reading and promote reciting through explaining new words in the reading, it can not only lead to students understanding the language better, but also make them gradually influenced by Chinese traditional culture. Thus you can get twice the result with half the effect. Second, in the light of the Characteristics of the new version, timetable and the memory of students, the author expresses her own opinions about how to use this method. Including the amount of reading, its feasibility, the basic rules the points of this method and its general procedure. According to the differences between the method of reading and reciting and the teaching of old梥tyle private school, the author emphasizes that this method should follow two basic rules, i. e. Combine reading and reciting with understanding, Use three elements of memory flexibly. Third, the author talks about some matters needing attention in detail from her own actual teaching practice.
