The kindergarteners' critical incidents within the first three years since undertaking the work are studied on in this dissertation. The method of qualitative research was adopted. While twenty-six kindergarteners were studied, materials were gathered through in-depth interview and collection of textual data, etc. The critical incidents were deeply analyzed.This study's view is on the kindergarteners' life and their growth process. The research indicates 'critical incidents' being key events in an individual's life,and these events can cause the kindergartener to ponder his professional structure and make some changes. The characteristics of the critical incidents are concluded as the following features: relativity of main body, first of time, profundity of experience, durability of memory, importance of impact.The kindergarteners' critical incidents within the first three years since undertaking the work can be divided as three categories, which are successful incidents, frustrate incidents and enlighten incidents. Then, the factors of critical incidents are analyzed. Firstly, person is the main body of critical incidents. Secondly, incident is its object. At last, impact is the result of interaction between main body and object.By analyzing the relation between the critical incidents and the professional growth of kindergarteners, it is concluded that the critical incidents play special role during the professional growth. The critical incidents are the process during which the kindergarteners learn by experience and taste. The relations between each categories of the critical incidents and the kindergarteners' professional growth were discussed in the following.Some pieces of advice about the teacher education were brought out according to the current state of research on the kindergarteners' critical incidents within the first three years since undertaking the work. First, critical incidents should be treated correctly. Second, the favorable effect of making most of important person's benefits should be taken and scaffold for novice teacher should be established. In the end of this dissertation, the reflection of the research is considered.
