In the current situation of vigorously advocating the development of vocational education,the society has put forward higher requirements for the class teacher in secondary vocational schools.It,on the basis of The Opinions on Strengthening the Work of the Class Teacher in Secondary Vocational Schools,has emphasized that the class teacher is the backbone of the ideological and moral education of the secondary vocational students and also stands for the leader in the healthy growth of the students.The most significant aspect to cultivate high-quality skilled talents is to develop a high-level team of class teachers.However,it cannot be accomplished in an action for the professional growth of the class teacher.It is necessary to explore some effective ways in an active way.In other words,a practical means,promoting the steady growth of the class teachers and encourage them to achieve self-development,is to make a study on the growth process of excellent class teachers and to learn the critical incidents that fundamentally change their educational concepts and moral education actions.It mainly adopts qualitative research methodology with interviews as the primary way in this study,collecting and analyzing the critical incidents in the professional development of ten class teachers in secondary schools who have won the top ten class teachers and the outstanding class teachers in Shanghai.When it comes to the professional growth of the class teacher,it should be noted that the concept is orientation,quality is the core,knowledge is the foundation,and ability is the goal.As a result,the critical incidents could be divided into four latitudes such as professional concepts(attitude and behavior towards education,attitude and behavior towards students)promoting,professional knowledge(theoretical knowledge,practical knowledge)promoting,professional competence(education & teaching ability and educational research ability)promoting,professional quality(understanding of professional ethics,personal morality and behavior)promoting,which aims to see through the appearance to perceive the essence,to repeatedly study critical incidents,the perceive educational metaphor,to explore educational value and make an analysis on the laws of education.It,in order to study the formation mechanism of critical incidents,could be explored and analyzed as follows on accordance with the reconsideration of the critical incidents experienced by vocational schools' excellent class teachers in in the vocational period.At the beginning,the reflection thinking is conducive to the change of ideas and behaviors since it is the deepening of the value of critical incidents.In the second place,the critical incidents are conducive to make the class teacher consciously identify the critical incidents in ordinary events because it is characterized by subject relativity,significant influence,and profound experience,etc.In the third place,the class teacher could get professional guidance and support during the critical stage of growth through two factors derived from critical incidents that is the critical period and the critical figures.Last but not the least,the basic motivation for creating critical incidents refer to the intrinsic quality of the class teacher.Generally speaking,to promote the lifelong learning of class teachers and make them carry out an active reflection on personal growth,we must pay attention to clarify the formation mechanism.It not only puts forward targeted proposals about professional development for class teachers in this paper,but also to school administrators.The class teacher is suggested to be good at developing reflection thinking,mastering the law of growth,drawing support from critical figures,and grasping critical incidents,which could provide new ideas for developing professional development of class teachers by making a complete understanding about excellence.The school administrators is recommended to guide the class teacher to improve the professional level by means of acting as the active participants,the careful observers,the intentional creator,and the helper of realm sublimating for the professional growth of the class teacher.I hope this paper could not only inspire the class teacher to consciously develop critical incidents that could seek growth breakthrough points of students in the daily moral education practice,but also could help the school management to establish a quality team made up of class teachers to promote the professional growth of the class teacher in secondary vocational schools by taking a case or two as an example for the rest of the lot to follow.
