With computer technology and the rapid development of network technology, Web-based learning has gradually become the main way for distance education. The explosive growth of network multimedia format information, especially the increase of video, audio and static media such as graphics and text, will lead to more compound multimedia documents on the web in which temporal,spatial,structural and semantic relationships may exist between these kinds of multimedia documents.So how to expediently and effectively organize, browse, search and compound these kinds of structured dynamic documents and display to the learners through web-based teaching platform are network teaching concerns .Based on the current web-based teaching platform for multimedia's compound and present,this thesis brings forward the design of visual education platform, focusing on how to effectively collect, storage, retrieval, visualized compound and efficiently use kinds of multimedia documents.so as to effect the union between the face teaching and web-based teaching.The main research content and research results reflecte in the following aspects:(1) The dynamic composing of multimedia teaching resources and their synchronous presentation,and the visual composing method.(2) The technology to play located and it's achieving flow.(3) The detailed design of learning archive for students self-adaptive learning.This topic is on the base of the conceive and design of newly-developed Web-based visual education platform.Through the search of correlative theory and technology ,the thesis analyzes and designs this system,such as the function, structure and etc, as the result of developing a prototype system .
