Since 60's in 20th century, underachievement problem has gradually been a universal topic. But now, the underachievement problem is still serious in middle school, especially about subject problem.Based on the literature about underachievement, the representation state of senion students is studied in detail with the methods of group tests; and the method of the case-study is used to make careful analyses of the six cases and put into practice. There are four parts to present the case-study in the thesis. LK and WCH are the objects in the earlier study period. The writer adopts parallel comparison to optimize and perfect their cognition structures. LYY, we can see his progress in the process. At the same time, the writer emphasizes on his personality characteristic. WS is a typical non-intellectual underachiever middle school student in chemistry; she has made rapid progress through some effective measures. School environment and family background have an effect on XH and YC, so the writer emphasize on the degree of exterior causality. The result suggests we can transform the underachiever middle school student in chemistry through the method of the face-to-face teaching.We hope this study can provide a model to help transform the underachiever middle school students in chemistry. On the other hand, we also hope to try our best to reduce the produce possibility of the underachiever middle school students in chemistry.
