With the development of educational practice, the continuous topic of underachievement students, demanding researchers trace and access the new condition and problems, and therefore conduct real and active study according to them, reemerged with some novel characteristics. On basis of ecology, sociology, educational philosophy and past-related study, a reanalysis of underachievement, under the new curriculum practice, was attempted. To facilitate the active and healthy development of every student and the implementation of curriculum and instruction reform of compulsory education, several factors to converting underachievement was concluded, and consequently, several criteria of evaluating and preventing it was brought forward, by analyzing the relationship between students' learning circumstances and learning traits. The study may fall into the following five parts:In the first part, the study under achievement in china and overseas were analyzed. And, as a conclusion, the character kinds, cause, countermeasure were summarized and concluded on basis of documentary study.In the second part, certain theories such as multiple intelligence, educational ecology, educational philosophy, were adopted to support the further study. In the following part, a systematic analysis of underachievement problem was attempted. Annotating and defining the implication of underachiever, learning differently and magical psychology, the action of underachievement in class was deserved dynamically including the interaction and hunting academic help in class. The class ecology, including association between students and teachers' learning strategy, was also discussed. Moreover, the mechanism of underachievement upon instruction theory was discussed.In the fifth part, the quality study on individual underachievement case was explored. The enlightenment to the underachievement under the new curriculum circumstance which learning and teaching strategy, collective instrument had evolved in the following aspects:1.Mutual development learning cooperative and collaborative unit2.Unique curriculum content(Discipline integration guide by culture and impetration technology)3.Harmonious collective groupIn the fifth part, the theoretical and practical countermeasure to diagnose, correct and prevent was putted forth.In the last part, some shortcoming of the study and the orientation were pointed out and foreseen.
