With the rising of globalized economy and information society, the internationalization of higher education is an important problem facing every country. The Britain had adjusted its policy of international education, and became some strategies for the internationalization of higher education. This essay mainly studies the internationalization of British higher education, aiming to probe on the enlightenments and lessons from the internationalization of British higher education, so as to provide some useful suggestions and strategies for Chinese internationalization of higher education. With this aim, the essay mainly employing factor analyses, historical methods and comparative methods and so on.The core problems of this research are as follows: how did the internationalization of higher education happen in the UK? What caused the UK to become to internationalization? The dissertation is consists of five parts as follows: Part one describes the key words; Part two describes the historical examination of the internationalization of British higher education, and analysis the causes which related to the internationalization of British higher education. Part three, analysis of the development of British higher education policy; Part four analysis the strategies and organization models for the internationalization of British higher education and analysis of the practice of internationalization of British higher education with the conceptual framework as follows: the idea of internationalization; the flow of overseas students; the internationalization of curriculum; international cooperation; establishment of institutions; In part five, the enlightenments and lessons from the internationalization of British higher education. Based on the former parts, the author gives the suggestions and strategies for our country.According to the internationalization of British higher education, the researcher got some conclusions.
