There are various kinds of high school teaching materials of information technology in China at present, of which the quality is quite different from one anther. There are even serious problems in some teaching materials of information technology. According to the research results of some high schools, it is a common phenomenon that students lack enough interests in the present information technology teaching materials. The main reasons are as follows: the information in these teaching materials is out of date, and cannot keep pace with the time; the contents are bald and cannot trigger students' interests; the materials cannot meet the needs of students' real life and the social development. Information technology teaching materials are becoming the bottleneck of the educational development of information technology.The thesis carries out the study from four perspectives. First, based on the researches of the domestic and overseas teaching materials of information technology, the thesis carries out a diachronic study on the development of high school teaching materials of information technology in last 20 years in Haidian District of Beijing, presenting again the historical evolvement of information technology teaching materials in China. Second, as teaching materials are written according to course criteria, the thesis studies and establish the evaluation system of high school compulsory teaching material of information technology based on the researches of the course criteria system. Third, according to the teaching material evaluation system, the thesis makes a comparative study on the current high school teaching materials of information technology in China. The study chooses the widely used teaching materials from underdeveloped area (Yunnan Province), developing area (Henan Province), developed area (Shanghai) and experiment area (Shandong Province) as samples, and applies the research methods such as content analysis, questionnaire, interviews, and so on. Fourth, the ideas and suggestions about the writing of high school compulsory teaching material of information technology are concluded based on the above researches, and the development tendency of high school compulsory teaching material of information technology is also pointed out at the end.
