The aim of reformation of basic subjects: Lessen the intention of focusing on teaching, encourage to form active attitude to learn. While learning basic knowledge and basic skill, learn how-to and form correct sense of value. Compared with the traditional teaching method, the new one focuses on the formation of students'basic way of learning. Concept map is an effective way of"how-to-learn". At present, the research on Concept map in teaching is paid little attention, so I choose Concept map as the research subject in chemistry teaching in high school.This article discusses the basic theory, describing the meaning of Concept map. Concept maps are tools for presenting, organizing knowledge. We show the way how to construct a concept map, and the present research intention to Concept maps ,that enclose following points; Concept maps are a way of teaching; way of learning; ways of training learners to improve creative thinking; guide of collecting teaching materials; tool of assessment.Here we focus on the using of Concept map in teaching. First part is about teaching function of Concept Maps: make knowledge structural; as a tool of assessment; as a strategy for teaching and learning; especially to improve students to learn meaningfully; help the communication between teachers and students; help teachers and students work thoughtfully. Concept maps are the guide of research learning. Then this essay put up different used model of Concept map both in learning and teaching—helpful to learning and teaching, collecting effective evidence of Concept map.The essay discusses the problem existing in chemistry learning in high school, presenting the advantage of Concept map in supporting theory learning. Guided with related theory, we did some experiment of Concept map in theory teaching. During the experiment, we design teaching methods with Concept map in previewing, reviewing, and working out problem, making survey among the students on Concept map before and after the experiment.By teaching, Concept map proves to be an effective one, showing good way of learning for students, enable students to teach themselves and in group study, putting students onto a new stage.
