It has vital significance to develop the divergent thinking of studentsin the basic education. Because it is good for improving the creativity ofstudents and cultivating innovative talents to meet the needs of thecommunity.The value of the College Entrance Examination.Reformcoincides with the basic education curriculum reform ideas. Thecoincidence aims at reflecting the quality of the College EntranceExamination better and at providing the correct guidance for students'creative spirit and the practical ability. It has practical significance inpromoting the students comprehensive strength as well as developingthinking.The research combines theory with experiments.The theory researchmainly seeks the theory basis between the concept maps and divergentthinking form psychology, pedagogy and collecting into its owntheoritical system. Meanwhile, it discusses the infuence which theconcept maps promotes the development of divergent thinking.The research objects are Class9 and Class10 in Senior 3 in YuezhouMiddle School. Class9 is an experimental class,and Class10 is a controledone.Class9 are taught making the concept maps and the students shoulduse it in reviewing the chemical knowledge.Using concept mapscombines the basic concepts with the basic theory; Using concept maps sloves multi-solutions and topic changeabling; Using concept mapsdesigns experiment. Using the concept maps promotes the development ofthe students divergent thinking. The students using concept maps willremember a number of concepts. The increasing of knowledge and thewideness of knowledge will promote the students to think frequently andkeep it in mind and reuse it more effectively.A variety of ways promotethem to use knowledge widely.Thc receativity of the procedures ofmaking concept maps will promote the increasing of creativityindependly. The development of divergent thinking in all kinds of aspectsmakes the faster development of divergent thinking. At the same time,other qualities of thinking such as the Overall, the vast as well asprofound are also developed well, which shows that the making ofconcept maps improves the students' divergent thinking ability as well asthe students' ability of whole studying.
