The Chinese language is naturally connected with the students'physical life and their inner life. But in fact, the students, parents, the media, even the Chinese teachers feel it a regret that students lack an interest in Chinese language learning. Why Chinese language teaching, which has great priority over the learning of other subjects, is reduced to such an awkward and difficult situation? This is a question that every language teacher must answer.Language teaching should begin with students. Educators should focus on the students'"learning needs", for it not only influences the development of middle-school students'initiative in the teaching process, but also affects the reform on curriculum and teaching.Based on the previous studies,"learning needs"here can be defined as one of the most fundamental self-developed psychological needs , driven by the desire to survive, to make progress and to realize their self-values.
