In recent years,although our country continues to increase the education investment and the strengthen education reform,the learning engagement of middle school students is decreasing day by day.Especially for mathematics,some middle school students are lack of interest obviously,and they even feel bored with that,seeing passive learning and lack in systematic self-training consciousness.As such,non-engagement phenomenon in mathematics learning is increasingly intensified.As we all know,mathematics is an important subject in basic education,and good mathematical foundation has a positive role in promoting the future development of middle school students.Learning engagement of student is a necessary condition for teachers to carry out effective teaching.It is of great significance and practical value to study students' mathematics learning engagement to improve their learning efficiency and teachers' teaching quality.At present,the study of students' mathematics learning engagement in rural middle school is little.In order to expand the theory,broaden the research field of mathematics teaching in middle school,and fully and deeply understand the current situation of mathematics learning engagement of middle school students,this study selected a rural public school as a sample to conduct a questionnaire survey.The present situation of mathematics learning engagement of middle school students is investigated and analyzed from three aspects: behavioral engagement,emotional engagement and cognitive engagement.The investigation found that middle school students have the highest degree of behavioral engagement and the lowest degree of emotional engagement.In addition,there are some problems such as passive learning behavior,low self-efficacy,lack of cognitive strategies and so on.Through the interviews with teachers and students in the middle school,it is found that teachers' comprehensive accomplishment,peer support and encouragement,students' goal consciousness,intention to work hard and study motivation will affect the degree of mathematics learning engagement of middle school students.On the basis of the existing problems in mathematics learning engagement of middle school students and the related influencing factors,this study puts forward the strategies of stimulating middle school students' mathematics learning engagement from behavioral engagement,emotional engagement and cognitive engagement.This paper summarizes the results of the research,looks forward to the future research,and hope to provide help for the theoretical research and practice of mathematics learning of middle school students.
