Resource-based Urban Transition Process In The Region And The Gap Between Rich And Poor

Resources City is special, and most of them are born along with the development of natural resource and this resulted in a single industrial structure. And the further exploration of the natural resources causes the contraction of resources, which leads to the resources industry decline. Therefore, chances of employment reduce, and the economical and social situation gets into mess. It is inevitable and necessary for the resources cities to be in transition.This article focuses area differentiation and wealth differentiation phenomenon during the transformation of resources city. After investigation and research of Anshan City, I summarized the development of this city, social life of citizens, and income level and so on. The investigation shows that functional area differentiation changes into economical area differentiation, and single wealth differentiation changes into group wealth differentiation during transformation of the city. It also indicates that functional area differentiation and group wealth differentiation combine to lead to economical area differentiation phenomenon. This article takes economical level as an important indicator of differentiation. From self-identity of citizens' angle, they admit there is differentiation, but they do not deny the development of the city. Therefore, we can say that the transformation plays an affirmative effect. In order to realize continual development of resources city, it isnecessary to focus the trend and degree of differentiation of the city.It is inevitable that differentiation exists during the transformation of city. It can inspire citizens, and promote the city. Meanwhile, it also bring unstable outcome. This article brings forward that the differentiation exist, and intend to face this social problem, therefore we can fix it.The first chapter of this article introduces the research background and significance, and research methods and the analysis structure. The second chapter tells the background of Anshan City, including resources, environment conditions, social and economical development state. The third and fourth chapter use statistical data and investigation material to analyze area differentiation and wealth differentiation. The last chapter concludes the whole article, and explains the correlation between area differentiation and wealth differentiation in Anshan.
