Education Agents And The Regulatory Vision Of The Government's International Education

After the reform and opening-up in 1978, overseas study gained unprecedented developing in China. Out of the scale increasing of overseas study people, overseas-study service agency comes up. It has its traits and plays very important role in modern life.Overseas-study service agency is an important target of overseas education supervision. Our government has issued series of regulations and policies during the past several years in order to make it normative. As the supervision subject, Ministry of education, the Ministry of public security and State administration for industry and commerce are responsible for the qualification approval, annually examination and penalty of the overseas-study service agency of study abroad. In order to enhance the daily supervision, they have carried out many other measures, such as, foundation of overseas education supervision net, issue warns of studying abroad, announce the qualified foreign schools and release the contract sample etc.But, as the overseas-study service agency relates to wild questions, there are still some problems that the supervision department didn't do well. Form many cases, we can conclude they were: false advertisement, unlawful agent activity, fake material, contract snares etc. Behind the cases, it was shown the problem of our government's supervision, for example, lagging of regulations and law, lack of communication and cooperation between supervision subjects and not-often supervising activity.Thus, this article will illustrate my opinion of why enhancing the supervision of overseas-study service agencies is important, and forward my suggestions to how to be stronger and more power of our overseas education supervision, they are: first, law making, let everything can follow laws and regulations. Second, should have more communication betweens supervision subjects; Third, do a good job in daily supervision.
