Generally speaking, novice teachers will undergo a stage of great difficulty and importance, that is, the newly-service stage. At this time novice teachers will change their roles from the students to the teachers, and they should learn and recognize their status in their professional group and society structure in school system. In this progress they will comprehend the role expectation from staff and society; learn how to complete their role obligation fluently; and how to show their action model which fits for their roles. We call it role adaptation for newly-service teacher in this research. Whether novice teachers fit for their roles or not would affect the orientation and attitude of their professional development and their level.This research takes qualitative method which sparkles in society science research. By the way, the narrative research is the main research method. The researchers penetrate into the specific and special teaching location which is of importance for teachers, walking into the new teachers' particular teaching spots to expose the hidden meanings of teacher's languages and behaviors.Three novice Chinese teachers with different background from different types of primary schools are chosen to be objects in this research, and their situation of role adaptation is different. Many events are depicted vividly to show their role adaptation situation fully. This research also unscrambling and analyzing the stories of the three novice teachers, based on it we try to explore the main factors which affects novice teachers' role adaptation and provide some corresponding actualized strategies.There are two major factors by classifying the factors which affect noviceteachers' role adaptation, that is, subjective factors and objective ones. Subjective factors include occupation knowledge, skills, motivation and attitude, personality trait and so on. Objective ones includes pre-service such as family education and normal training and in-service such as society and working schools.In order to help novice teachers in primary schools to complete their role adaptation smoothly, some suggestions are given in the article according to the influential factors. The normal university should make pre-teachers have good preparations in the knowledge and skills. The students from normal universities should be well prepared for the teaching job in future forwardly. Society should give newly-service teachers full understanding and support. The school should build scientific and reasonable evaluation system, developing the fostering- novice mechanism. The harmonious school environment should be created. The newly-service teacher should be allotted some working tasks and overcome difficulties to be qualified.
