A Case Intervention Study Of Narrative Therapy On Role Adjustment Of Urban Retirees

According to statistics from the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of the People's Republic of China,as of the end of 2018,there were 117.98 million urban retirees in China.After the urban retired elderly group quits their jobs,their social roles change from workers to idlers.In this process,it is easy to cause psychological gaps due to role interruptions and conflicts,which affects the group's physical and mental health.Therefore,promoting urban retired elderly groups to complete social role adjustment,improve their psychological state,and improve the quality of life is one of the focuses of elderly social work.Narrative therapy separates individuals from problems through problem externalization,and clarifies the relationship between individuals and problems again.The long and rich life course of urban retired elderly groups has laid the foundation for the narrative method,which is conducive to the entire intervention process.Based on the perspective of social work,this study attempts to use a narrative treatment model to conduct an applied exploration of the role adjustment of urban retired elderly groups.This study takes the relevant theories and methods of narrative therapy as the starting point.After a large number of literature reviews and interviews,case intervention is carried out to help the client complete the adjustment of retirement roles and regain the sense of life.After research and evaluation,a comparative summary is made and suggestions are made for further research.This study is divided into five parts:The first part presents the background and problems of this study.This study mainly analyzes the problems faced by urban retired elderly groups,as well as theapplication of narrative therapy.The second part of the literature review is to define relevant concepts,summarize and analyze the current status of narrative therapy,urban retired elderly groups at home and abroad,explore the application of narrative therapy in social work for the elderly,and summarize the enlightenment and shortcomings of current research.The third part is the research design,which mainly introduces the thinking,research content and research methods of this research.The fourth part is practical research.First,through a sample questionnaire survey on the research objects,understand the basic situation of the individual,social support,role adaptation and social participation;then organize and analyze the collected questionnaires to summarize the problems and demands of the urban retired elderly group The research objects in different retirement periods,according to the three stages of narrative treatment,that is,storytelling,problem externalization,and reconstruction of the story,case intervention.The fifth part is the discussion and reflection of this study,exploring the practical effects of narrative therapy intervention in the social work practice of elderly groups at different retirement stages,and finally put forward the shortcomings of this study and further research suggestions.Combining practical work and assessment reflection,the conclusions of this study specifically include: first,narrative treatment can quickly help social workers to establish professional relationships with intervention subjects;second,narrative treatment can more effectively help retired urban elderly in the repositioning period Complete role adjustment;third,narrative therapy can more effectively help extroverted,expressive urban retired elderly to complete role adaptation;fourth,narrative therapy can effectively improve the mental activity of urban retired elderly.In short,this study hopes to enrich the practical content of the social work field through the practical application of narrative treatment in the urban retired elderly,and provide a certain degree of reference and practical experience for the elderly social work field and narrative treatment model.
