Teaching is a special cognition and practice process, which always shows in some forms, and teaching mode is one of these forms. Teaching mode is both the application of teaching theories and summary of teaching practices, so it is worthwhile researching it.Benjamin S. Bloom, a famous American scholar, has devotmself to the research on education and teaching and contributed greatly to the combination of theories on study and teaching. Based on the theories of forerunners, he extracts piths from others and forms his own characteristic "mastery study" theory, which is shown next. First, he has done deep and fruitful researches on both the classification of educational subjects and the estimation of education. Second, with respect to the theory of school study, he has his unique analysis on the three variables of cognition of students, emotional preparation status and quality of teaching. Third, when review the degree of students concerning the mastery of a certain school assignment; he absorbed Carl's opinion "study degree is a function of the time actually used to learn a certain assignment and the time to master the assignment" . Additionally, he further investigated some variables of the function.This paper, based on the mathematics teaching mode and theories related to it, analyses the characteristics of modern mathematics teaching mode. Also, based on the fundamentals of behaviorism and with the instructional idea of Bloom's "mastery study" theory, we formed the teaching mode with the basic procedures of "orientation of subjects—practices of teaching—testing the formation—feedback rectification—testing of parallel" . Additionally, we applied this theory to the mathematics teaching of senior middle school students. By survey and statistical analysis of the results, we draw two conclusions from this research:1. By using this teaching mode, we can improve mathematics of senior middle school students.2. By using this teaching mode, we can also enhance their interests in learning mathematics.
