Big Cities Population Living

With the acceleration of our country's urbanization, more and more floating population flood to cites. The main part of these floating population are diverted rural surplus labors o They have made big contributions to urban economy , society and culture , but their inhabitation problem has not been effectively solved . Under this background, based on analyzing floating population inhabitation condition in metropolitan cites, this work tries to propose strategy discussions for solving this problem from social points of view. The first part of this report presents this research topic's background and purpose; summarizes relevant domestic and international researches; introduces its content, relevant concepts and research methods; and describes the research's framework. The second part roughly describes the floating population's situation , their habitation condition and habitation behavior characteristics ; analyzes current problems that exist; In the third part the author summarizes and evaluates the ways that the housing problem of floating population are settled in some western developed countries, and introduce a few of valuable solutions to this problem in our country at present. Finally from the aspects of the policy management and building measurement the means and suggestions of how to deal with the housing problem of floating population are given in terms of the Chinese characteristics, aimed at figuring out the new ways to solve this complicated social problem.
