College Students Value Orientation

This research shows that university students are the main bodies in practicing the value of university, and study is the practicing base in doing so. Yet the present situation of the university students' study is not so optimistic. There are varieties of problems in the tendency of the students' acceptance of the value of study, and many of them have failed in becoming the main bodies of realizing the value of university. In the long past, these problems have not given rise to enough attention. This research holds that in discussing and researching the value of university and reform and development of university education (one of the aims at reform and development of university education is leading university education to the way in favor of realizing the value of university), we should pay close attention to the students' study and their trends in acceptance of value. In view of this, this research makes an analysis and research of the tendency of our university students' acceptance of value of study and its influence in the campus, based on the reports and discussions on the university students' campus life published in the newspapers, journals and on net.This article—the result of my research—is mainly divided into two parts.The first part, which bases itself upon the documents and materials widely collected, gives an account of the problems existing in the tendency of the university students' acceptance of value of study, and they mainly reflect the students' unreasonable or even the harmful trends in acceptance of value of study, specifically in the trends of utilitarianism, dependency, waste of study rights, and reading less or reading not. These problems also reflect the university students' departure from the value of university to a certain extent, and some of these trends are even characterized by contrary to the value of university.The second part, starting from the duty and capacity of university, makes a probe into the factor causing the problems mentioned above. The research holds that this mainly concerns about the characteristics of the university students themselves, the present situation of the system of study management and teaching.The research holds that the existence of university relies on the university students, who are also the most important carriers of the achievement of the university education, therefore, it's primarily important to make students' study accord with the realization of the value of university, and all those concerned in the campus—schools, teachers and students—should make efforts to open up a path in keeping with the value of university for the university students.
