Being the important part of the experimental teaching, the open experimental teaching is the vital link of applying theories to the reality. The open experimental teaching plays an extremely important role in raising student's abilities, including creationary thoughts, practice abilities, the abilities of analyzing and solving problems. At the same time, this teaching also truly manifests the idea of taking the students as the central in the higher education. The teaching mode extricates the students from close learning environments, not only providing students with the learning environment in which students are able to display their independency and creativity fully, but also developing their original abilities. The mode of the open experimental teaching takes the conception of cultivating students' abilities into account; therefore it ought to become much important segment of the entire teaching system. The open experimental teaching become into the bridge which is between the knowledge and the practice, the practice and the innovation, besides that causing the theory knowledge to the higher stage.This thesis particularly analyzes the problems that exist in the current educational technology of the experimental teaching in colleges and universities. Then, the paper elaborates the feasibility of the educational technology of the open experimental teaching from three aspects which are the demand of experiments, the hardware condition of the laboratory, and the theory foundation of the experimental teaching. And then, the author designs the theory mode about the open experimental teaching, according to the experiences of the open experiments and consulting the literatures of experimental teaching in colleges and universities. This mode elaborates the open experiments of educational technology from several viewpoints. Finally, the author brings forward a theory that the open experimental teaching is the important approach of enhancing the level of experimental teaching in universities.
