Scientific Concept Of Development And The Sustainable Development Of University

The Scientific concept of development is of great significance to promote the development of China's higher education. At the present stage how to achieve sustainable development in higher education in China is an important issue of deepening the reform of higher education; is the demand of the development of higher education itself; is the demand of building a well-off society in an all-round; is a demonstration of the implement of the scientific concept of development; is the practical needs of economic and social development. This paper analyzes the relationship between higher education and sustainable development, in view of the scientific development concept, putting forward a series of ideas and measures on the current situation and the problems existing in higher education in China, to promote and achieve sustainable development of higher education.This paper firstly analyzes the scientific understanding of the scientific development concept, pointing out that the people-centered is the core and essence of scientific concept of development; comprehensive, coordinated, and sustainable development is the basic contents of the scientific development concept; balance and overall view is the fundamental requirement of the scientific concept of development, and insisting the scientific concept of development is the basic requirements of the development of higher education institutions.To eliminate the factors constraining colleges' development, and achieve sustainable development, it is necessary for the colleges to handle well the relationships between the university and economic development, the scale of students and quality of education, the issue of reasonable allocation of educational resources, the issue of proper educational structure and the issue of flow of college talent.This paper using the scientific concept of development as the theoretical guidance, proposes the basic means for achieving sustainable development in colleges and universities to solve the current problems in the development of China's higher education, namely, establishing people-centered educational conception; valuing quality is the essence of development; endeavoring to adapt to local economic development; fostering academic atmosphere; and establishing the scientific development strategies.
