After economic reforming and opening up, our country started the market oriented reform, and had been changing from planned economy to market economy. The intensify reform of National Corporation started in 1995 caused unemployed staff suddenly increased. Some corporations, which were located in value-added block, had been often expropriated and reconstructed by government. In Yutan Town of Ningxiang County, all National Corporations set up in planned economy society had gone bankrupt one after another. However, these bankrupted corporations had been located in value added block, or had become golden area in city expansion. And those corporations all had the special feature of "government takes complete care", so most staff there lived in welfare or low-rent house. After bankruptcy, the jobless staff that still lived in corporation had to face house expropriation. Considering this phenomenon, we chose jobless relocated residents as the jumping-off point of this research. The thesis takes Yutan Town in Ningxiang County as example. And through qualitative and quantitative analysis, we arrive at below conclusion: first, in the process of city expansion, reconstructed area has changed greatly. To relocated residents, especial laid-offs among them, relocation will force them to be marginalized, and bring negative effects to their life and psychology. Second, to Laid-offs, relocation will enlarge the distance between them: to some, unemployment and relocation is the press and propulsion to improve themselves forward; However, to some, unemployment and relocation cause them to loss their job and habitation. They are incapable to change current situation, and easy to be excluded. Third, the survey shows jobless relocated residents who get higher scores in positive adaptation mode, have better social adaptive ability and social adaptive situation; who get higher scores in negative adaptation mode, have worse social adaptation ability and social adaptive situation. What's more, the author emphasizes that government cannot ignore economical and social problems and negative effects on this unique group. To jobless relocated residents, the process and result of social re-adaptive is the choice of their behavior. In current situation, the urgent issue to jobless relocated residents is how to realize psychological and social re-adaptation.
