With the development of the global economy, people treat English education on a more and more important station. In the past, many people learnt English but they can't communicate in it because of kinds of reasons. The conflict of English teaching and society requirement appeared. The theory of multiple Intelligences applies not only the English course's reformation guidance of theories and practices, but also the new thoughts of teaching. The goal of English teaching is not only to develop students'language Intelligence, but to take full advantage of multiple intelligences to develop language intelligence. And the English learning will drive other intelligences developing. At the same time, according to the summings-up of different English teaching methods students can find out the most efficient way of learning.This text discusses the researches and practices of combining the theory of multiple intelligences with English teaching. The investigable methods of contrast and experimentation etc. are involved. Combining with the theory of multiple intelligences, the English teaching takes students as main bodies and teachers as leaders. The main idea of the English teaching is helping students develop their multiple intelligences to promote their language intelligence. Moreover, the analyses and summings-up are comprise with spoken language, interest of English learning, initiative of English learning, achievement and estimate and so on.
