Xinjiang Colleges And Universities To Carry Out The Present Situation And Development Of Traditional Ethnic Sports Strategy

The paper made an investigation and analysis of the present condition of the implementation of national minority sports in the twelve higher institutions in southern and northern part of Xinjiang and Urumqi by using questionnaires, interviews and statistical methods. It shows that, of the twelve higher institutions, only eight schools have offered national minority sports but the number of such sports is only limited to seven items, which indicates that the higher institutions are lack of national minority sports items.62.2% students in Xinjiang University like national minority sports and the number of students who take part in such kind of sports accounts for 46.91 of all the subjects. Although these students take part in all kinds of national minority sports offered by the university, the frequency of participation and the degree of participation are quite low. The factors which influence the implementation of national minority sports in Xinjiang higher institutions are as follows: there is not enough investment and there are inadequate sports grounds and equipments. Moreover, the structure of the teachers is not reasonable and the textbooks are not systematic and comprehensive. he paper, on the basis of literature analysis and logical analysis, suggests that make active use of the resources of national minority sports in an effective way to improve the sports quality of Xinjiang higher institutions and that it is an effective measure to improve the teaching quality of the Xinjiang higher institutions. In order to deepen the educational reform, introduce more national minority sports items to higher institutions and establish national minority sports bank, it is necessary to popularize national minority sports to a greater extent so that we can create an atmosphere of national minority sports, build up professional teacher training system and make a full of the national minority sports, which will indicate the locate characteristics and the flexibility of higher institutions of Xinjiang. t also points out that the exploration and implementation of national minority sports in higher institutions in Xinjiang should follow the goals of our sports education, the psychological characteristics of the students, and objective teaching conditions so that the whole thing will be based on the practicality, the basic regulations, scientific evidence and characteristics of nationality. t should indicate a balance between the characteristics of national minority sports and the realistic conditions of the students and the balance between healthy efficiency and students'interests of sports.
