Though task-based learning established on constructivism has gotten extensive research and application among IT teaching in China, the lack of systematic study and practicable instruction at application level has caused many negative influences, which mainly embodied in the misunderstanding of task-based learning and confusion in how to design a task-based classroom instruction and put it into practice. This paper has discussed task-based learning's relative concepts and its fundamental theories, and systematically proposed a constructive process model of task-based classroom instruction at application level.Beginning with the analysis of the present situation and problems in the task-based classroom instruction, the first chapter discusses the background of the nation's current Information Technology education, gives an overview of the existing research points on task-based classroom instruction ,lists the problems and puzzled question encountered in the task-based classroom instruction practice. Therefore, it's necessary and meaningful to focus more attention on task-based classroom instruction and keep further study on it. I proposed a systematic plan and set an objective of the research at the end of this chapter.On task-based classroom teaching model, relative concepts on task-based classroom instruction were defined, this article also tells the features and classification of the study tasks, explores the essence, the foundation theory and general process of the task-based classroom instruction. It's very helpful for teachers to grasp the essence of the task-based learning and put it into practice.The research explores the task-based classroom instruction on the instructional design viewpoint, elaborates the foundation theories, principles and procedures of the task-based instruction, and proposes a practicable instructional design process model at application level, which will be helpful for teachers to master the instructional design process and method.At the description of the action research, I offer two teaching cases which include Instructional Design of Own My Computer and Report on Application of the Task-based Teaching in Robot Education .In the end, through the questionnaire survey's analysis, we draw an conclusion that the task-based classroom instruction method is suitable for the current IT teaching and got satisfied result.Finally, the article introduces the major problems in the current teaching practice by using task-based teaching method, put forward some urgent problems to be solved in the further research, and summarizes the present research.
