Content: Since the promulgation and enforcement of the new Chinese course standard systematically, a new upsurge of reforms has been set off in the teaching of Chinese course, and three-dimension theories have been implemented in various fields. Grammatical teaching is, however, still an unresolved problem: on one hand, the teaching of sense of language has struck root in the hearts of teachers, the reduction of the teaching of grammars has become an inexorable trend; on the other hand, although students can acquire some perceptual knowledge on grammars during language acquisition, the perceptual knowledge can't resolve all of the students' language problems. The grammar knowledge in the middle school Chinese teaching can't be cancelled, in view of the role of grammar teaching on the standardization and development of the students' language. Therefore, it is very necessary, under the background of the new course, to absorb and assimilate the new achievements of language research, reconsider the role of grammar, reorient the grammar teaching, and try to explore ways of the improvement of the middle school grammar teaching.This thesis includes four parts. Part One is introduction, aiming at raising questions under the background of new course. Part Two mainly reviews the system, the arrangements and teaching methods of the contents of teaching materials, laying stress on the examining of the problems of the middle school grammar teaching. Part Three analyze the current middle school grammar teaching, attempting to use lots of statistics to prove: problems of the contents and methods of the grammar teaching haven't been resolved and the language levels of the students are still worrying, though ten years Chinese teaching reforms have broken the old ideas and frameworks of grammar teaching. We should absorb the practical experiences and research achievements of native language teaching both home and abroad, and relocate the grammar teaching according to the new course. Part Four is the focal points of the whole thesis, mainly explore from the following aspects: first, reconsider the connotations and natures of grammar and grammar teaching, grasp the laws of the transformation of the grammar knowledge to language ability; second, reconsider grammar teaching according to the new course, including the aims, functions, contents and the teaching principles and methods of grammar teaching; third, combine the recent research achievements of grammar teaching to discuss, from aspects of teaching resources exploitation, teaching methods improvements and comprehensive learning channels exploration, the applications of the theories of the new course in the practical grammar teachings...
