With the fast development of the society, a great many of new problems come forth into the moral field, and moral education has been a difficult and significant issue for school education. Facing the low-efficiency in moral education, many researchers have contributed their efforts to the field of notion, method as well as goal of moral education, for instance, life moral education stresses that moral education should return to life, moral experience education protests that moral education should be realized via experiencing, subjective moral education emphasizes that moral education should aim at cultivating the moral personality of independence, rationality, in-oneself and liberty. These researches have already had some effects on the practice of moral education. Based on these studies, this dissertation chooses the stories of moral education in the Chinese textbooks of primary school as research object with the methods of discourse analysis from the dimensionality of the structure of content, narrative logic and rhetoric mode, to reveal the reason that why these stories are told, how they are told and for what purpose, then probe into the possible way for moral education.This dissertation is composed of four parts. (1) Phenomenon description. Choose the stories of moral education in Chinese textbooks in primary school since 1950s as the analytic target, classify and describe to find out their tendency of the transforming from politicalization to life-style. The stories chosen before 1980s apparently focusing on the great deeds of heroes and leaders who devoted themselves to the country and the people or even sacrificed and the ordinary people with stories out of common in grand narrative style with a strong sense of political characteristic; after that period, the stories have been gradually presented in micro narrative style, telling the daily stories about the family relationship and fellowship of ordinary people. (2) Theoretical base. Make clear that moral and moral education should be born with certain characteristic of transcendence to surmount the limitation of moral relativism, moral benthamism as well as the human-centered moral perspective. (3) Theoretical analysis. Analyze the content, narrative style and rhetoric mode of the moral stories by the method of discourse analysis to present the different moral signification of these two kinds of stories and to probe into the possible way of moral education. Take Liu Hulan, Dong Cunrui, in the central Hospital in Yan'an, and Peanut as the examples of politicalized stories to show moral model in that period with the characteristic of selflessness and serving the people heart and soul. Take How Wonderful the Red Scarf Is, Balloon in front of the Window, Little Chubby Hand as the instances of stories of life-style to enlighten the practical tendency that school moral education take students' life experience as the base. (4) Possible way. Combined with several correlative conceptions and themes such as death, the supreme good and happiness, take the phenomenological method of experience and the traditional mode of moral education to bring students' subjectivity into play, then show the transcendence of moral education and the new possible way for moral education.
