Scientific literacy is a fatal factor, which controls individual and social innovation. When the "scientific literacy" first appeared in the press, the foreigners had already done with it in the 1950s, which is earlier than us by 40 years. To promote the all-round development of individual or society, we must nourish people's scientific literacy, especially we must not let adolescents' education of scientific literacy fall into the policy-makers' blind spot again. The reform of science education in our country has involved this problem, but the substantial study is just beginning. We have no mature mode in theory and practice. The blind practice and the confusing theory trigger my philosophical mediation. Jiangsu Province takes the lead in culture and economy in China, for it relies on the existence of strong power of science and technology. So I do my field study in Jiangsu Province. In the introduction part of this thesis the author remarks the confusion in theory, philosophical mediation, and the significance of this study in reality and theory; meanwhile, the author probes into the connotation of scientific literacy, summaries the current situation of study and points out the construction of education mode, the application of multi-dimensional methodology and two innovations. At the same time, the author clears up the related theories to set a theory foundation for probing into the factors about the education of the adolescents' scientific literacy in a critical perspective. In the following three chapters, the author categories the questionnaires, induces the sensible language and rationalizes the ideas, analyzing, overlooks current situation of scientific literacy, from a philosophical view, and sums up the its internal and external features and the hiding factors. Then, the author tackles the problem from the optimization of the educational environments out of and of the schools and the stimulation of the youths in their ability of self-education, building from the base a "three-dimensional interactive education mode" to improve the adolescents' scientific literacy. Finally, the author generalizes the effect, analyzes the outcome and draws a conclusion. Meanwhile, the outcome of scientific research may be faulty or limited, so the author points out, at the end, the exiting problems and further research direction in this thesis.
