Private school setup by Foreigner and Chinese are two parts of Private Education in Modern Hunan. It is inevitable outcome of department in politics,economic and culture under the background of modern Chinese history, and have its brilliance regional characteristic.The developing process of Private Education in Modern Hunan can divided into: preliminary development period from 1902 to 1911, unsmooth development period from 1912 to 1927, rectify development period from 1927 to 1937, continuous development period from 1937 to 1949 , transformation extinction period from 1949 to 1957.During the period , with the educational system perfecty and society progress , the government management of Private Education became more and more institutionalization , Hunan province issued a series of policies and measures on the basis of regulations issue by central government. Hunan province accorace practical situation of Private Education in Modern Hunan, according the paths of establish status,support development,specification operation and so on, convincing ground drive the development of Private Education in Modern Hunan. Under the support from government all levels and all kinds of schools talent showing itself form circumstance abound with public schools,resort sublimity schooling idea, successful management method, solidarity running schools climate, choiceness teachers ' guarantee, well off characteristic in schools manner. Mingde,Chuyi,Taokan,Xiuye,Zhounan,Yueyun,Chengzhang,Chuanshan,Miaogaofeng,Guangyi,Duize,Qinghua,Xingsu,Yifang,Hengcui,Qunzhi schools set up by Chinese; Yale,Fuxiang,Xingyi,Xinhua schools set up by Foreigner; Xiangya school set up by Chinese and Foreign became famous in Hunan even in China.Despite of yeasty political situation and fund deficiency, Private Education development in Modern Hunan exist many problems such as schooling hierarchy wae to low, regional distribution was unbalance, government management was unreasonable . History proves, Private Education was a important part of Hunan Modem Education, it not only frovide talents to the social, but also work out contributions in Hunan Education modernizing to enlarge scale of Hunan Education, propelling education reform, perfecting education system, inheritance culture of hunan .During it success and failure of government management, experience lessons of private education development provide enrich enlightenment to Private Education in contemporary Hunan.
