Problems And Countermeasures In The Development Of Our Community Colleges

The community college is an important carrier for lifelong education system, is a good guarantee for realization of mass higher education, is to perfect the higher education system. The community college has already developed for more than ten years in China since it was initially built in 1994. During the one decade, the higher education in China has diverted from elite education to mass education. In this process, what developments the community college has achieved, what problems still exist, how to reform to make it better. According to this, the thesis studies commumty college as a whole.The thesis firstly illustrates the significance of this study on community college ,meanwhile make a brief summary of domestic and international research on this subject, then analyze the feasibility and necessity of the community college's establishment and development in China, and expect people to gain a greater awareness about this education system. Secondly, the author analyze the present situation and the existing problems of the community college in China based on literature research and empirical investigation, make an analysis of the causes about these problems. Finally, the author puts forward some proposals form four aspects: Enhance community colleges brand-building, improve the management system, Perfect guarantee mechanism, improve the quality of education for the development of community college in China with the people's expectation and the valuable experience of developed countries' community college , hopes that help to in the practical development of community college in China.
