The information is the 21st century's economic and social development trend.Modern information technology taking multimedia and network technology as the core,has not only brought extensive and far-reaching impact to our social life, but also penetrated into all aspects of education.Modern information technology has been become a driving force for the reform of education and technology.In the face of this ever-changing information technology environment for the survival,"the curriculum reform outline of the basic education(tried)"in our country has put forward clear request for teaching to enhance the general application of the information technology to teaching energetically, promote the integrating of the information technology into subjects. The new"Curriculum Standard of English"has pointed out the direction of the reform in English education. We should consider it as students'powerful tool to solve the English problems, try to change students'learning manners and make students happier and have more energy to be involved in realistic, exploratory English learning activities, and strive to improve the effectiveness of teaching. As a result, we should integrate modern information technology into the teaching of English, change the past traditional teaching mode, use modern information technology as possible as we can when we teach English in junior high school to optimize the structure of the English classroom, to mobilize students'senses, to enhance the efficiency of English class as well as the quality of information of teachers and students. This is an urgent and important task for us. This is exactly the purpose of this study. In the junior high school English teaching using modern information technology taking multimedia and network technology as the core to design and carry out a variety of social activities in the classroom can change the abstract, boring learning content into the imaginal, interesting, visual, audible and rhythmic content for students to learn while working, training. It can enhance the classroom capacity, make substantial classroom, stimulate students'interest in learning and enthusiasm, lead to active learning. The language materials can be consolidated and improved in use. To enhance teacher-student information quality and lay a solid foundation for their life-long learning and the development have great significance. As a result, the teaching of English in junior high school on the use of modern information technology related issues have on a very important theoretical value and practical significance.In view of modern information technology used research in the teaching of English in junior high school has just started, its successful experiences at home and abroad are not many. The way of action research is mainly used in this thesis. Research on the background, the significance of the research at home and abroad and the concept of relevant theories are analyzed and explained and rationalized modern information technology and junior high school English teaching the relationship. Traditional English teaching, the status quo of junior high school English teaching and junior high school English teaching reform has done a great deal of research. It creatively puts forth six requirements for junior high school English teachers in the use of modern information technology: high professional ethics, a wealth of subject knowledge, superior teaching ability, good cultural qualities, a unique visual image and a strong ability to work. It summarizes the roles and the advantages of the modern information technology in junior high school English teaching. It also discusses the application of the principles, the applied strategies. And through the teaching of the two cases, it puts forward information and recommendations for junior high school English teachers in the use of modern information technology. For modern information technology in junior high school English teaching it provides a theoretical and operational support.In this study, two classes of Jinan No. 34 middle school are conducted for a period of more than a year of teaching experiments. And the students have a track record of success. Experiments show that the use of modern information technology, teaching classes in all aspects have changed. The students' results have been improvd quickly.This shows that modern information technology gives the English classroom infinite vitality, lively, interesting. There are maps, text, sound, color and taste in it. Easily lead to the interest, to mobilize the enthusiasm of the students will help students to learn to play the initiative and will be beneficial to teaching efficiency and improve student achievement.
