The rapid development of information technology has been pushing the process of educational informationization. Information technology plays a more and more important role in modern education. However, with the acceleration of the process of education informationization, the traditional teaching mode and teaching methodology can not meet the requirements. Thus, teachers should improve their literacy at every aspect, especially information technology literacy.It is a tendency to integrate information technology into high school English curriculum, since the integration of information technology into curricular areas, like listening, peaking, reading and writing can strengthen the teaching effectiveness.Therefore, this paper aims to investigate the high school English teachers’ levels of information technology literacy and their integration of information technology into English curriculum, as well as the barriers and issues they encounter when they integrate information technology into curriculum in Lishui City, and propose several strategies and ways to improve their levels of information technology literacy.The paper includes six charpters:Chapter one is an introduction to the background, purpose and significance of the study, and the overall situation of information technology literacy.Chapter two is the theoretical basis of information technology literacy and several related definitions. The theoretical basis are listed as follows: 1) Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge Model, 2) Teacher Professional Development. Chapter three is the methodology of the research, in which research questions and procedures are presented. Chapter four is the results and discussion of the research. Chapter five is the ways and strategies to improve teahcers’ information technology literacy. Chapter six is the conclusion and expectation.
