Nowadays, it's so obvious that the issue of parent-child-relationship for primary school pupils becomes the common focus of school, family and society. Parents are the first teachers of children who play a fairly important role in the development of pupils. Parent-child-relationship is one of the most fundamental and crucial relationship of human society, the harmony of which promotes the growth of individuals. And the condition of parent-child-relationship also decides whether family education can be a success. Therefore, it's very necessary to discuss the factors that influence the pupil's parent-child-relationship especially parents' emotional intelligence which has been neglected.The research will try to have an investigation of the current situation of pupils' parent-child-relationship and parents' emotional intelligence and the relation between parents' emotional intelligence and pupils' parent-child-relationship,then analyzes the factors that influnce parents' emotional intelligence, in order to find some ways and propose some advice to improve parents' emotional intelligence.The thesis carries out its investigation of pupils' parent-child-relationship on basis of PCRT (parent-child-relationship test) revised by Zhou Bucheng, a professor of East China Teachers University, and then invents a questionnaire testing parents' emotional intelligence, behind which a research of the relation between parents' emotional intelligence and pupils' parent-child-relationship is following. Thus, the thesis is devided into five parts. The first part is introduction, informing us the origin of the research and a research review in the way of literature analysis. The second is a details of the research design. The third is the statistical analysis of the investigation data. The fourth is an analytical discussion on the basement of the statistical result. And the last part provides a series of stategies and propositions for improving parents' emotional intelligence and parent-child-relationship, according to the discussion of the effecting factors of parents' emotional intelligence.Thus comes the conclusion. Primary school pupils have a very serious problem in parent-child-relationship. There are grade and sexual difference in the level of pupils' parent-child-relationship. And a sexual difference also exists between father and mother on parent-child-relationship and emotional intelligence. Parents of Pupils from different grades show significantly different in emotional intelligence. And there is a significant correlation between parents emotional intelligence and parent-child-relationship.
