The Aim:(1)Explore the core elements of the parent and child relationship of the city and building the theory model;(2)Develop a parent and child relationship scale which could identify the better relationship from bad relationship;(3)Distinguish the reliability and validity of the parent and child relationship of the city.The Method:Building the theoretical model through by some literature research, the open questionnaire and structural questionnaire survey. We used the first draft of the scale base on this theoretical model forecast the parent-child relationship. With the data analysis and the discussion of the psychology and other experts, we determine the urban primary school parent-child relationship measurement scales which include parental questionnaire and children questionnaire. There are624valid parental questionnaire and636valid children questionnaire in the large sample test. In order to determine the test-retest reliability of the questionnaire, we re-test30pairs of parents and children two weeks later. Then we selected general and good parent-child relationship15pairs to identify the criterion validity of the questionnaire. Exploratory factor analysis to determine the structure of the final scale; through confirmatory factor analysis, correlation analysis, t-tests were used to examine the reliability and validity of the scale.Results:(1)The formal questionnaire includes parents’scale which consists of28items and children scale which consists22items,(2) Exploratory factor analysis to show parents scale includes five first-order factor explained59.326%of the variance of the total variance, respectively named:the relationship between husband and wife, parents’ awareness of the parent-child communication, parent-child attachment, and education; Children questionnaire contains four factors named:the relationship between parents, children awareness, parent-child interaction, parent-child attachment., which could explained the variance of the total variance of52.392%.(3)There’re significant differences between the high grouping score and the low group of the parent-child relationship in the parental scale (p<0.01). Total scale test-retest reliability of0.762, the test-retest reliability of each subscale(p<0.01) in the range of0.768to0.855; total scale Cronbach’a coefficient of0.872, the internal consistency of each subscale in the range of0.845-0.903(p<0.01).Confirmatory factor analysis showed that the theoretical model of the concept of model validation, the ratio of x2to df is4.45,RMSEA is0.077,the GFI is0.90,NFI is0.91and the CFI is0.90.The correlation coefficient of the five factor scores and total scores in the range of0.310~0.649(p<0.01);the correlation coefficient between each subscale from0.325to0.415(p<0.01).(4)In the children scale, high and low grouping of the score significantly differences in each subject (p<0.01); Total scale test-retest reliability of0.872, the test-retest reliability of each subscale(p<0.01) in the range of0.746to0.836; total scale Cronbach’a coefficient of0.837, the internal consistency of each subscale in the range of0.796~0.860(p<0.01).Confirmatory factor analysis showed that the theoretical model of the concept of model validation, the ratio of x2to df is4.23,RMSEA is0.081,the GFI is0.89,NFI is0.87and the CFI is0.89. The correlation coefficient of the four factor scores and total scores in the range of0.5380.608(p<0.01).The correlation coefficient between each subscale from0.247to0.301(p<0.01).(5) Excellent groups and ordinary groups of parent-child relationship scales score significantly different(p<0.01).Conclusions:Exploratory factor analysis to verify the initial theoretical concept. Construct a measurement scale of parent-child relationship which has good reliability and validity. The scale can be a preliminary identification of parent-child relationship of the city is good or bad.
