It is of great significance to strengthen and improve university students'thoughts and politics education, and shape them into the erectors and successors of Socialism construction with Chinese characteristics. It is beneficial to rejuvenate the motherland, to reinvigorate China through human resource development, to boost socialist modernization, and to ensure the prosperity and longevity of Socialism course. The essence of realizing such strategic aim is to educate and channel them into correct belief.The paper is guided with related theories of Marxism, basing on the theory combined with practice, using theory and method of ideological and political education. Based on the concept of belief education, the significance and necessity of university students'belief education is explained. Then, according to the analysis of the outer environment, the problem of university students'belief education is expounded, and detailed countermeasures are put forward. The analysis keeps to the following logical relations from concept to system, from external to internal, and from problem to countermeasures.This dissertation is made up of five parts:The first part:the introduction of this dissertation, which explains the research aim, the meaning, the current situation, the insufficiency and new ideas in this dissertation respectively The second part:the definition and importance of belief education, explaining the belief's definition ,the definition of belief education and the importance of belief education to normal university students. Through the analysis of the concept of belief and belief education, the meanings of university students'belief education are brought forth. Firstly, it is the demand of our country to raise the comprehensive national power for building socialism with Chinese characteristics. Secondly, it is the necessary condition for an individual to improve self-quality and become a useful person. Thirdly, in the term of consciousness, it is the need to implement scientific outlook to strengthen Marxism scientific belief.The third part:the environment analysis on the belief education of current university students. This part analyzes the environment on the belief education of current university students from both macro and micro levels, which explores the basic background for exploring the question of belief education of current university students. On the macro-dimension, globalization makes university students'belief education have to face the world. Meanwhile, the western ideological penetration must be prevented, because the national market economy has not been improved, the socialist priority not being exerted fully, internet and media bringing many problems, belief being trend of diversity. In the micro-dimension, family education has tremendous influence force and cohesion on university students'belief, while school education effected by the social situation around is not pure any more.The fourth part:analysis on the situation of belief education of current university students. In this part, the paper affirms firstly the effect of the belief education of current university students, then expounds the challenges and questions which the belief education of current university students facing. The challenges include the objective reality and subjective consciousness. The problems are as follows: the students do not attach enough importance; their ideas have mistakes, their orientation is inaccurate; the complex environment needs to be improved; the method is simple and the effect is far from satisfactory.The fifth part:countermeasures on how to actually strengthen the work of belief education of current university students. This part is the logical result of this dissertation. According to the problem analysis above, the paper purposively put forward a series of countermeasures to enhance the work form idea, environment, method, path and so on.The paper put forward the major countermeasures on university students'belief education. The idea of belief education needs opening-up and creation, educating all people, and education forever. Create good macro and micro environment for university students'belief education. Combine the following four aspects to innovate the methods of university students'belief education: theory and practice, education and self-education, explicit education and implicit education, belief education and knowledge education. Extend the routes of university students'belief education from the following four aspects: integrating belief education power, carrying out educational practice activities, dominating internet education realm, expanding influence of grass-roots organizations.
